Dublin, October 9 2000 - Boylepoker.com today announces details of free workshops being hosted by some of the world's leading poker players at the record-breaking International Poker Open 2008, being held at the Regency Airport Hotel, Dublin, Ireland, from October 17th to 19th, 2008.
On Friday October 17th the 2005 World Series of Poker main event finalist Andy Black hosts a workshop for tournament players including preparation and tips on winning followed by a Q&A session.
This is followed on Saturday October 18th by Boylepoker pro's Marty Smyth (pot-limit Omaha world champion) and Padraig Parkinson (1999 World Series of Poker main event finalist) hosting a workshop on final table play followed by a Q&A session.
Both sessions are free to attend for all players and take place at the venue between 2:30pm and 3:30pm.
Boylepoker.com also released a list of some of the leading lights in poker who are playing the event including Marty Smyth, Padraig Parkinson, Andy Black, Andy Ward, Dave Callaghan, Faiz Kabir, Ian Frazer, Jeff Duvall, Jesse May, John O'Shea, Ken Doherty, Mad ‘Marty' Wilson, Neil Channing, Ray Panthaki, Rory Reece, Rory Liffey, Ryan Fronda, Scott Gray, Surinder Sunar, Maria Demetriou and Jen Mason. A number of these players will carry a bounty on their heads.
They will be joined by All-Ireland winning Kilkenny hurlers Richie Power, John Tennyson, Martin Comerford and James Fitzpatrick, and Dublin footballers Paul Casey, Shane Ryan, Stephen Cluxton and Thomas Quinn.
The €135 + €15 Boylepoker.com International Poker Open 2008 is set to be the largest poker field ever assembled outside of the United States and has already sold out its 1,200 capacity.
This year Boylepoker.com has added €20,000 to the prize pool and, in a world's first, is also adding 20 percent of all rake generated by pre-registered players to the prize fund meaning the more participants play the higher the prize pool grows. The prize pool currently stands at over €200,000.
