Chinese Poker Tourney Gets Underway
Sporting Life 23 Nov -- Legal live poker tournaments have never been a commonplace thing in China, and in fact the first ever such competition just recently got underway in the gambling district of the Peoples Republic of China, Macau.
The event is part of the Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), and the main event of this tournament in Macau has some high profile players to bolster attendance.
Former WSOP champion Joe Hachem will be playing, as will Barry Greenstein, Lee Nelson, and Scotty Nguyen as well as newcomer and big character Hevad Khan.
The main event buy in is $2,500, cheap compared to WSOP standards. Back to November 2007 NewsBack to Poker News Index
