Poker Game Variation - In-Between

Draw a Card "In-Between" your cards in rank.

  1. Each player antes.
  2. Deal each player 1 up card
  3. Starting with the first player, deal a second up card. That player then may bet any amount up to the amount in the pot (or the maximum allowable bet, whichever is less) that the next card will fall in between the two cards he has been dealt. If it does, the player collects that amount from the pot. If not, the player pays the amount he bet into the pot. If the card turned over matches one of the two cards dealt to the player, that player has "hit a post" and must pay the pot double the bet amount.
  4. Repeat step 3 with the next player, continue until the pot is emptied, reshuffling as needed.

Notes: It is crucial to decide on the ante and the maximum amount any player can lose on the hand. The dealer should also decide if aces are high, low, or at the player's discretion.
