Along with fellow bookie Terry Rogers they are credited with introducing Texas hold'em to Europe. Terry Rogers created the Irish Open with help from Liam. Sadly Terry has passed on, but Liam has carried on the tradition of the great tournament and is still it's director. Liam is very accomplished player in his own right and has won numerous tournaments, his highlight being winning the European Championship at the Vic in 1997, where he defeated Surindar Sunar and the Devilfish when it got down to three handed.
