Dan Harrington won the gold bracelet and the World Champion title at the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold 'em Championship at the 1995 World Series of Poker. And he was the only player to make it to the final table in 2003 and 2004 considered a great accomplishment in WSOP history.

In volume one of this series, the authors explained how to play the early phases of tournaments when people have plenty of chips and the blinds and antes are small. Harrington on Hold'em is currently the most straight-forward, easily applicable, comprehensible, and insightful book on No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament play and strategy.

The book dumbs down the concepts of pot odds, and implied odds, so that they are a lot more practical and easily applicable to the game. After every section there are practice hands (usually real tournament hands) and exercises to work through. This helps the reader think about applying the material to game situations. Harrington drives home the importance of calculating the odds regularly, not by giving complicated mathematical results over the long term, but by using more easy to understand examples.

Harrington on Hold'em is Oddschecker Poker’s highest recommended book on No Limit tournament play. This is an absolute must for anyone interested in learning and improving their tournament game.
