Book of Bluffs, The
This new book is one written by Card Player columnist and professional poker player Matt Lessinger.
This new book is one written by Card Player columnist and professional poker player Matt Lessinger. No poker book is complete without touching on the subject of bluffing, but Lessinger takes it one stage further by devoting a whole book to the art. Without bluffing, there would be no poker.
Arguably the bluff is the defining element that separates poker from other games. There's a lot of really good material in The Book of Bluffs. Lessinger clearly has interesting and insightful things to say about the topic of bluffing, and poker in general. Nonetheless, because this book has a narrow focus on one aspect of poker strategy, there is a danger that some inexperienced readers might construe the advice in this book more broadly than is prudent. Overall this book comes highly recommend to all but the very beginner player. Back to Books Index
