OverallSoftwarePaddy Power Poker is part of the iPoker network, the fastest growing network in Europe. Up until this year Paddy Power Poker were on the Tribeca network; transition was fairly smooth and now have a far larger player base for games. Some nice features of the iPoker network include an easily navigable lobby, "real time" hand histories, and a buddy list. As you'll expect from the tongue-in-cheek, entrepreneurial bookmaker – all the tables are "emerald" green and the general design of the site is one of fun! At the tables you have the option of hearing the dealer announcing the action and control over what player avatar you would like to use. In addition you can choose a four colour deck, which is advisable on iPoker as the cards are not easily distinguished. Each table also comes with a "mini mode" view, allowing you to play 4 tables on a 1024x728 screen without overlap. TrafficPaddy Power receives a decent amount of traffic. Currently at peak times, on average they'll be 8,000 real money players at the cash tables, and around 30,000 playing the tournaments. Unsurprisingly the dominant game at Paddy Power Poker is fixed limit & no-limit Texas hold'em. However, here is great selection of full-ring and 6-max games to choose from, at a range of limits too. The general standard of play of hold'em is mixed, at the lower limits the play is very fishy. Omaha is becoming increasingly popular on site too, thanks to iPoker being focused on European players. |
