Littlewoods Poker - Tournaments
Littlewoods Poker have some good tournaments. They give away over $3.8m pounds in Guaranteed prize money each month. Most of the tournaments are NL hold'em with small buy-ins, but the biggest tournament of the week that draws in some good players and numbers is the £40K on Sunday which is a £110 + £10 buy-in. The main plus point to Littlewoods Poker tournaments are their qualifications packages. Right now you can qualify via satellites for the EPT events. In addition Littlewoods Poker run some lucrative Double Shootout events along with a new format tournaments, dubbed the Head Hunter tournaments. These are multi-table tournaments where players earn cash for every player they knock out. A percentage of the buyin is apportioned to each player. The more someone eliminates – the more cash they win, but also the bigger the target they become for the remaining players. These tournaments are quite fun and guaranteed to have some loose aggressive play. The only tournament area that I feel that Littlewoods Poker let themselves down is with their Sit & Go's. Available from £1 up to £500 the SnG's available at Littlewoods Poker only give players 1000 in starting chips. I feel it would be much better if they ran both 1000 Starting Chips SnG's alongside the more traditional 1500 starting chips SnG's. Overall Littlewoods Poker would be quite average for tournaments were it not for their great qualifying packages to land based events. |
